Regular monthly newsletters are emailed to the BID member database.
Feedback on all BID activities from current BID members is encouraged and always very welcome.
Members-only access is also available to CBID Basecamp where many helpful resources and updates can be found.
Governance Structure
All directors of Coleraine BID are volunteers from the levy-paying businesses who do not receive any remuneration for their role but do support the team in the delivery of the business plan. Please find the rules for the election of directors to the board here along with terms of reference for Board Members. The chair is elected by the board members.
Updates are communicated regularly via our monthly e-newsletter and at our AGM. Feedback to the BID from BID members is always welcome. The Ballot
A ballot was held to form a Business Improvement District (BID) for Coleraine Town Centre for a 5-year period from 2018 to 2023.
The ballot was conducted entirely by postal vote over 6 weeks by the Independent Scrutineer, Electoral Reform Services (ERS) of 33 Clarendon Road, London N8 0NW.
Ballot papers were sent to all eligible properties identified as responsible for non-domestic rates in the defined BID area. 223 ballot papers were returned with 180 cast in favour.
The result of the ballot is as follows.
Coleraine BID 2018 Declaration of Result
Based on this the proposal to establish a Business Improvement District for Coleraine Town Centre Ballot was approved, with a majority of:
- 80.7% in favour by number.
- 89.8% in favour by combined rateable value.
- The turnout was 36.2%.
